ABOUT THE JOB
As a Meat Assistant, you will help ensure that fresh meat products are properly prepared, packaged, and displayed according to Costco’s high standards. The position involves operating wrapping equipment, maintaining cleanliness and food safety compliance, and assisting in stock rotation. This role plays an essential part in maintaining quality control, food safety standards, and efficient department operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wrap and label meat products using automatic wrapping equipment.
- Stock and rotate products in display cases to maintain freshness and presentation standards.
- Inspect, clean, and reassemble equipment to ensure proper sanitation and functionality.
- Operate department machinery such as grinders and wrapping machines following safety procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and restock display cases as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide courteous and efficient member service at all times.
- Assist in other warehouse areas when required.
