ABOUT THE JOB
As a Stockperson/Cartpusher at Walmart, you will collect shopping carts from cart corrals, the parking lot, and the store perimeter, returning them safely to designated areas. You’ll also support front-end operations by assisting customers with carry-outs/carry-ins, responding to requests at registers, and helping keep key areas clean and compliant. This position requires reliability, attention to safety procedures, and the ability to work outdoors and on your feet for extended periods.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect and return shopping carts from cart corrals, parking areas, and the store perimeter to safe storage locations.
- Support positive customer service by assisting shoppers promptly and professionally.
- Respond to requests at registers and help with carry-outs/carry-ins while verifying receipts when required.
- Follow guidelines for restroom cleaning and maintenance, including proper chemical handling and disposal procedures.
- Use equipment safely when required, including completing inspections/reports before use.
- Follow hazard communication and safety protocols, including emergency procedures and lockout/tagout practices where applicable.
- Maintain cart retrieval logs or related documentation when required by the service desk.
- Promote safety by wearing required PPE, including steel-toe footwear and a reflective vest during cart collection.
- Complete safety sweeps as assigned to help keep the workplace clean and hazard-free.
