Costco is hiring a Food Service Assistant (Food Court) for its warehouse in Laval, QC. This role supports busy food court operations by preparing and serving menu items, keeping work areas clean, and providing fast, friendly member service in a high-volume setting.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Food Service Assistant in the Costco food court, you will help prepare hot foods and beverages, handle basic cashiering, and maintain clean and sanitary production and dining areas. You’ll restock ingredients and supplies, operate food prep equipment safely, and follow strict food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality and consistency. In Quebec locations, candidates are typically expected to communicate in French (oral and written).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and serve hot food and beverages following department standards and recipes.
- Operate equipment safely (e.g., warmers, fryers) and follow proper food handling procedures.
- Take orders, ring up sales, handle cash, and provide prompt member service.
- Assemble and present orders quickly while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Clean and sanitize machines, work surfaces, utensils, and counters throughout the shift.
- Maintain dining and self-serve areas by bussing tables, sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash.
- Stock and rotate ingredients and supplies from storage areas, supporting freshness and availability.
- Support other warehouse departments as needed based on operational demand.
