Costco is hiring a Bakery Wrapper in Kitchener, ON. This role supports the bakery department by preparing, wrapping, labeling, and stocking baked goods while maintaining high standards of quality, food safety, and member service.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Bakery Wrapper at Costco, you will help ensure bakery products are attractively presented and ready for sale. Responsibilities include garnishing baked goods, packaging items according to department procedures, and rotating stock to maintain freshness. You will also assist members with product questions and help keep the bakery area clean and organized.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Garnish and finish baked goods using icing, glaze, or toppings according to department standards.
- Wrap and package bakery products by hand or using wrapping equipment.
- Assemble packaging materials such as boxes and trays for baked goods.
- Weigh and label products accurately while following quality and consistency standards.
- Move products using carts and racks to stock display areas efficiently.
- Rotate inventory, monitor pull dates, and ensure compliance with health and food safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bakery area and follow all safety procedures.
- Provide prompt and courteous member assistance and direct members to product locations.
- Support additional bakery duties and assist other warehouse areas when required.
