ABOUT THE JOB
The Over-the-Counter Associate plays an important role within Walmart’s pharmacy area. This position focuses on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining proper merchandising standards, and supporting pharmacy-related operational tasks. The associate works closely with the Pharmacy Manager and department leadership to help drive performance while ensuring compliance with privacy and safety regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide customer assistance and maintain a welcoming environment in the pharmacy area.
- Ensure confidentiality standards are respected in accordance with privacy regulations.
- Support department sales and profitability under the direction of pharmacy leadership.
- Rotate merchandise and monitor product expiration dates to maintain compliance and safety.
- Maintain proper zoning and merchandising presentation within the department.
- Follow procedures related to pricing, labelling, markdowns, and signage.
- Keep the area clean and free of hazards, ensuring health and safety standards are met.
- Assist with equipment calibration and support tasks related to the prescription filling process.
