ABOUT THE JOB
As a Member Service Assistant at Costco, you’ll be one of the first and last points of contact for members. You will greet members, verify membership cards, help keep accurate entry counts, and support warehouse safety through regular checks. You may also assist with receipt verification at the exit and help maintain a clean, organized entrance/exit area while following established safety and security procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet members warmly, verify membership cards, and help keep accurate entry counts.
- Support a positive first impression by keeping the entrance/exit area tidy and organized.
- Perform routine safety and security checks throughout the warehouse and perimeter, identifying hazards (e.g., spills, trip risks, blocked exits) and reporting concerns.
- Complete required inspection documentation and communicate findings to the appropriate leader.
- Use a handheld counter to track member entry and report counts as needed.
- Monitor warehouse access and observe activity to support loss prevention and safe operations.
- Assist with receipt verification at the exit by checking for accuracy and thanking members.
- Provide prompt, courteous assistance by directing members to products and services and supporting basic member needs.
- Support security-related routines that may include monitoring after-hours exit doors and communicating status via radio.
- Help with general front-end support tasks as assigned, including assisting in other warehouse areas when necessary.
