ABOUT THE JOB
The Meat Assistant plays a key role in preparing meat products for sale by operating wrapping equipment, stocking display cases, and assisting with grinder operations. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to follow established production and sanitation procedures to maintain Costco’s high standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wrap and label meat products using automatic wrapping equipment.
- Stock and rotate meat items in display cases to ensure freshness.
- Set labels accurately, including weight and pricing information.
- Operate meat grinders and monitor each batch for quality and consistency.
- Inspect and reassemble equipment to ensure proper sanitation.
- Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment throughout the day.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery as required.
- Assist members courteously and support other warehouse areas when needed.
