Walmart is hiring a Grocery Associate in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. In this role, you’ll help keep the grocery department organized, fully stocked, and ready for customers by supporting merchandising, product rotation, pricing, and daily store standards.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Grocery Associate at Walmart, you’ll contribute to a smooth shopping experience by maintaining a well-presented grocery area. You’ll support daily routines such as zoning shelves, checking dates, ensuring products are properly signed and priced, and following food handling and safety procedures. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys fast-paced retail work and staying organized.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Zone and maintain the grocery department to keep shelves neat and shopper-ready.
- Rotate stock and check for expired or out-of-date products.
- Ensure accurate signage and pricing across the department.
- Follow food safety and proper handling procedures, including sanitation routines.
- Support ordering and inventory tasks such as clearance, markups/markdowns, and label updates as needed.
- Keep merchandise stocked and ensure the department is ready for business throughout the day.
- Follow Health & Safety guidelines and store policies at all times.
- Stock and downstock merchandise, complete modular sets, and apply product protection when required.
