ABOUT THE JOB
As a Member Service Assistant at Costco, you will greet members, verify membership cards, and help manage entry and exit flow. You’ll also support warehouse safety and security checks, assist members with directions and general help, and perform receipt verification at the exit. The position requires strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to stay alert while working in a busy warehouse environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome members, provide a friendly greeting, and verify membership cards at entry.
- Support warehouse flow by keeping entrance and exit areas organized and clean.
- Conduct regular safety and security checks throughout the warehouse and perimeter.
- Identify and report hazards such as spills, trip risks, or blocked exits to the appropriate manager.
- Use a handheld counter to track member entry counts and record counts as required.
- Monitor warehouse access and report notable activity (including arrivals related to secure transport) to management.
- Verify receipts at exit by checking accuracy and matching items to receipts, then thank members.
- Provide member assistance by giving directions to product and service locations.
- Assist with tasks such as loading support, cart help, and other member-related needs when required.
- Perform perimeter checks on foot and, when required, using a personal vehicle as part of security routines.
- Support other warehouse departments as needed.
