Walmart is seeking a licensed Staff Pharmacist to join its pharmacy team in Calgary, Alberta. This role is focused on delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring safe and accurate prescription services, and supporting daily pharmacy operations in a community-based setting.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Staff Pharmacist at Walmart, you will work closely with the Pharmacy Manager to support all aspects of pharmacy operations. The role involves dispensing medications, providing patient consultations, and ensuring compliance with provincial regulations and company procedures. You will help maintain a safe, efficient workflow while contributing to an excellent patient experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurately and efficiently dispense prescriptions following established workflows and safety standards.
- Provide patient consultations and counseling on prescribed and over-the-counter medications.
- Accept and process prescription and refill requests from patients, physicians, and hospitals.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical products.
- Deliver eligible pharmacy services such as medication reviews and injections, based on patient needs.
- Operate pharmacy systems and equipment while maintaining patient privacy at all times.
- Follow all provincial regulations, regulatory body standards, and Walmart SOPs.
- Support the Pharmacy Manager in keeping the pharmacy open and operating during posted business hours.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support pharmacy business objectives.
