ABOUT THE JOB
The Meat Assistant works closely with the meat department team to prepare products for sale, operate equipment, and maintain a clean and organized work area. This position plays an important role in ensuring quality standards, proper labeling, and compliance with health and safety regulations at Costco.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wrap and label meat products using automatic wrapping machines.
- Stock and rotate meat products in display cases.
- Operate the meat grinder and monitor product consistency and quality.
- Inspect, reassemble, and sanitize equipment according to food safety standards.
- Set labels accurately based on product type and pricing.
- Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing work areas and following health code requirements.
- Perform basic maintenance on machinery and tools.
- Provide prompt and courteous member service when assisting customers.
