ABOUT THE JOB
The Maintenance Assistant plays a key role in maintaining cleanliness and overall upkeep across the facility. Working within established safety and operational standards, this position supports daily cleaning routines, assists with general maintenance, and helps protect both employees and equipment. Attention to detail and reliability are essential in this hands-on role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform daily cleaning and janitorial duties throughout the facility, including floors, restrooms, break rooms, and production areas.
- Operate and maintain trash and cardboard compactors and ensure proper waste disposal.
- Respond promptly to spills and cleanup needs to maintain safety standards.
- Assist with grounds maintenance, including seasonal tasks such as snow or ice removal.
- Replace light bulbs, clean fixtures, windows, walls, and ceilings as needed.
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and report inventory needs.
- Support minor facility repairs and assist with painting or concrete floor maintenance when required.
- Follow all safety, security, and operational procedures at all times.
