Costco is hiring a Bakery Wrapper in Surrey, BC to support daily bakery operations by wrapping, labeling, garnishing, and stocking baked goods. This role helps ensure products are presented to Costco standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized bakery environment.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Bakery Wrapper plays an important role in preparing bakery items for sale by finishing products, packaging them correctly, and keeping displays well stocked. This role follows established food safety, quality, and production procedures while supporting both team members and Costco members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Remove baked goods from containers and apply garnishes, icing, or glaze according to department standards.
- Wrap and package bakery items by hand or using a wrapping machine.
- Assemble pre-cut cardboard boxes and package finished products for sale.
- Weigh and label products accurately, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Inspect products and remove damaged, underweight, or defective items.
- Move bakery items using large wheeled racks and restock displays as needed.
- Rotate stock, monitor pull dates, and comply with health and food safety codes.
- Maintain clean and organized wrapping and sales areas, following all safety procedures.
- Provide friendly and prompt member service and assist with bakery inquiries.
- Support other bakery and warehouse tasks as required.
