Costco is currently hiring a Maintenance Assistant to support daily cleaning and general upkeep at its Quebec City warehouse. This role plays a key part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both members and employees, while contributing to the smooth operation of the facility.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for providing janitorial services and assisting with the general maintenance of the warehouse and surrounding grounds. This position ensures that cleanliness, safety, and operational standards are consistently met throughout the building.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean warehouse floors, offices, break rooms, and restrooms using appropriate cleaning equipment and methods.
- Perform sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and spill clean-ups as needed.
- Collect and dispose of trash and cardboard throughout the warehouse.
- Operate equipment such as garbage compactors and cardboard balers.
- Assist with routine maintenance checks and general upkeep of the building and grounds.
- Identify and report maintenance or facility issues to management.
- Ensure work areas are free of debris or trip hazards.
- Follow all safety and security procedures at all times.
- Provide courteous and prompt member service when required.
