ABOUT THE JOB
As a General Merchandise Assistant Manager at Walmart, you will work closely with the Store Manager and leadership team to oversee store operations, merchandising standards, and associate performance. This role requires strong people leadership, business acumen, and the ability to adapt to changing operational needs while supporting both front-end and back-end store functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive sales and profitability by achieving budget goals and analyzing financial and sales performance.
- Support store operations through effective planning, delegation, and execution of operational priorities.
- Ensure merchandising excellence, including pricing accuracy, store presentation, and compliance with company standards.
- Oversee safety and asset protection practices, ensuring compliance with Walmart policies and procedures.
- Lead and develop associates through coaching, feedback, training, and performance management.
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing customer feedback, concerns, and operational issues.
- Support community engagement initiatives and participate in company-sponsored programs.
- Maintain compliance with merchandise handling, cash controls, and operational audits.
