ABOUT THE JOB
The Maintenance Assistant at Costco is responsible for janitorial services and general maintenance across the facility, including offices, restrooms, production areas, and common spaces. The position requires attention to detail, physical activity, and adherence to strict safety and security procedures, particularly within specialized areas such as the Optical Lab.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform daily cleaning and janitorial duties throughout the facility.
- Clean offices, break rooms, restrooms, and production areas.
- Operate trash and cardboard compactors safely.
- Respond promptly to spills and cleanliness issues.
- Maintain facility fixtures, including changing light bulbs and cleaning windows, walls, and ceilings.
- Assist with grounds maintenance, including litter removal, snow and ice removal, and outdoor upkeep.
- Support minor maintenance tasks such as painting and concrete floor repairs.
- Monitor, restock, and manage cleaning supplies inventory.
- Follow all Optical Lab, safety, and security standards.
- Provide courteous service to members, employees, and suppliers.
- Assist other areas of the facility as needed.
