ABOUT THE JOB
As a Maintenance Assistant at Costco, you will provide janitorial services and general upkeep across the facility, including production and support areas. The position involves routine cleaning, waste handling, minor maintenance tasks, and assisting with grounds upkeep, all while following strict safety and security standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas to maintain facility cleanliness standards.
- Operate trash and cardboard compactors and remove waste from designated areas.
- Respond promptly to spills and safety hazards.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
- Perform light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and washing windows.
- Assist with grounds maintenance, including litter removal, snow and ice clearing, and basic repairs.
- Support inventory tasks and assist with internal and external purchases when required.
- Provide courteous service to members, employees, and suppliers.
