ABOUT THE JOB
As a Cake Decorator at Costco, you will be responsible for frosting, filling, and decorating cakes according to established formulas and production standards. The role involves using pastry bags, tools, and decorating techniques to create visually appealing products while working efficiently in a fast-paced bakery environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Frost, fill, and decorate cakes using spatulas, pastry bags, and decorating tips.
- Create borders, designs, and writing following Costco decorating standards.
- Slice and prepare cakes, cheesecakes, and fresh fruit for finished products.
- Apply fillings between layers and garnish cakes for display and sale.
- Read and complete custom cake orders, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
- Assemble cake boxes, package finished items, and move products using wheeled racks.
- Maintain a clean and organized decorating area, following safety and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with other bakery tasks as required.
- Provide prompt and courteous member service when interacting with customers.
