ABOUT THE JOB
The Maintenance Assistant at Costco is responsible for the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the facility, including offices, restrooms, production areas, and common spaces. The role also involves operating maintenance equipment, restocking supplies, assisting with minor repairs, and following strict safety and security standards. This position requires physical activity, attention to detail, and reliability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform janitorial and cleaning duties throughout the facility, including offices, restrooms, and production areas.
- Operate trash and cardboard compactors and manage waste removal.
- Respond promptly to spills and cleanup needs to maintain a safe environment.
- Clean light fixtures, windows, walls, ceilings, and vacuum rafters as required.
- Assist with grounds maintenance, such as litter removal, snow and ice clearing, and basic exterior upkeep.
- Support minor maintenance tasks, including painting and concrete floor repairs.
- Monitor, restock, and organize cleaning and maintenance supplies.
- Follow all Optical Lab, safety, and security procedures.
- Provide courteous assistance to members, employees, and suppliers when needed.
