ABOUT THE JOB
As a Self Checkout Attendant, you will support customers using self-service checkout systems while promoting a positive shopping experience. You will help resolve issues, perform quality checks, and follow Walmart’s operational and safety standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain the self-checkout area in a clean, neat, and organized condition.
- Educate customers on the proper and efficient use of self-service checkout options.
- Promote company-sponsored programs such as credit cards, product protection, and charity initiatives when applicable.
- Observe customer activity to determine when assistance is needed.
- Politely explain self-service interventions and quality checks while reassuring customers.
- Respond to Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) alarms and complete required documentation.
- Notify the Customer Service Manager when self-checkout areas are low on cash or experience technical issues.
- Return Scan & Go scanners to their designated location after use.
PAY INFORMATION
The minimum hourly rate for this position starts at $16.15 per hour. The final rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
