ABOUT THE JOB
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards and assisting with general facility upkeep. This includes cleaning designated areas, operating maintenance equipment, and supporting grounds and minor repair tasks. The role requires attention to detail, physical activity, and adherence to safety and security procedures established by Costco.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform daily cleaning and janitorial tasks across production areas, restrooms, offices, and common spaces.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including scrubbers, vacuums, and compactors.
- Respond promptly to spills and clean-up needs to maintain safety standards.
- Empty trash and recycling and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
- Assist with grounds maintenance, including litter removal, snow and ice control, and basic outdoor upkeep.
- Support minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, washing windows, and basic repairs.
- Follow all safety, security, and Optical Lab procedures during daily operations.
- Provide courteous assistance to members, employees, and suppliers when required.
