Costco is hiring a Tire Centre Sales Assistant in Laval, QC. This role supports the Tire Centre by helping members choose the right tires, managing appointments and invoices, and keeping tire inventory organized—while delivering excellent member service in a busy retail environment.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Tire Centre Sales Assistant at Costco, you’ll assist members with tire-related purchases and services, answer questions, and provide recommendations using structured selling steps. You will help organize and stock tires, prepare service and purchase invoices, and support daily operations such as appointments, order processing, and payment handling. In some locations with propane services, this role may also include filling propane tanks once provincially certified, following all safety procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist members in selecting tires by answering questions and making product recommendations.
- Handle incoming calls, provide information, and issue price quotes as needed.
- Manage tire appointments using the scheduling system and support timely booking and follow-up.
- Stock, tag, and organize tires on the sales floor, including special orders and CAA tires.
- Create and process tire purchase and service invoices, including install/repair services.
- Load and stage appointment tires and transfer items to designated areas for service preparation.
- Ring sales, take payments, provide receipts, and follow proper cash handling procedures.
- Process warranty-related returns and calculate refunds according to procedures.
- Coordinate with the Tire Centre Manager and other teams regarding special orders, inventory status, pricing, and promotions.
- Keep the Tire Centre clean and safe by sweeping, mopping, and maintaining an organized work area.
- Assist with moving member vehicles into service bays and parking vehicles after service when required.
- In propane-service locations, assist with propane refills once certified and in compliance with safety requirements.
