Shift Supervisor – Tim Hortons, Ottawa, ON

Tim Hortons is hiring a Shift Supervisor for its location in Ottawa, Ontario. This full-time role is a great opportunity for experienced food service team leaders who can maintain strong standards in service, food safety, and cleanliness while creating a positive and supportive environment during each shift.

ABOUT THE JOB

As a Shift Supervisor at Tim Hortons, you will oversee daily shift operations and help ensure that guests receive excellent service and consistent product quality. You’ll guide team members, support hiring and training activities, and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures. This position also requires confident problem-solving and the ability to respond professionally to customer concerns.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee shift operations to ensure high standards of guest service, product quality, and cleanliness.
  • Ensure team members follow health and safety practices, including proper use of PPE and safe work procedures.
  • Work in compliance with applicable occupational health and safety guidelines and restaurant procedures.
  • Report and document incidents, injuries, illnesses, unsafe conditions, or security concerns during shifts.
  • Maintain required food safety logs and documentation, including temperature records when needed.
  • Supervise team members, assign duties, and lead pre-shift huddles to keep the team aligned and motivated.
  • Support the Restaurant Manager with recruitment activities and help onboard new team members.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and consistency.
  • Handle customer service issues confidently, using good judgment and applying corrective actions when needed.
  • Support cash handling tasks such as balancing cash and ensuring end-of-shift processes are completed properly.
  • Ensure the restaurant is stocked, staffed, clean, and prepared for the next shift.
