ABOUT THE JOB
As a Pharmacy Student at Costco, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support daily pharmacy operations. This role involves assisting with prescription processing, patient service, medication preparation, and health promotion initiatives, all while complying with provincial regulations and maintaining strict patient confidentiality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with prescription data entry, packaging, and medication preparation under pharmacist supervision.
- Collect and verify patient information and accurately enter prescriptions into the pharmacy system.
- Fill prescriptions by retrieving stock, counting medications, and labeling items as directed.
- Answer and triage member phone calls, directing inquiries appropriately.
- Support pharmacists with medication reviews and health promotion clinics.
- Provide OTC product assistance and basic counseling under pharmacist supervision.
- Maintain pharmacy organization and cleanliness.
- Help stock medications, supplies, and OTC merchandise.
- Follow all Costco Pharmacy policies, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.
- Deliver prompt and courteous member service at the pharmacy counter.
