ABOUT THE JOB
As a Member Service Assistant at Costco, you will help create a positive first and last impression for members by greeting them at entry and exit points. You’ll verify membership cards, assist with member questions, and support safe store operations by completing routine safety and security checks. The position also involves checking receipts at the exit and helping maintain a clean, organized entrance/exit area. In Quebec locations, candidates are typically expected to communicate in French (oral and written).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet members, make eye contact, and provide friendly member service at entrances and exits.
- Verify membership cards and support entry counts as required.
- Check member receipts at exit and thank members for shopping.
- Conduct routine warehouse safety and security checks and report concerns.
- Maintain clean and orderly entrance/exit areas, including clearing hazards.
- Observe and report unusual activity and support loss prevention procedures.
- Assist members with directions to products and services, including cart support when needed.
- Support other warehouse areas as required by business needs.
