ABOUT THE JOB

As a Meat Cutter at Costco, you will cut, trim, and prepare fresh meat products according to Costco specifications. You’ll use professional tools and equipment while maintaining sanitation, product quality, and safe handling practices. This position also supports daily department production needs, merchandising, and member service in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cut, trim, and prepare meat products using approved tools such as knives, band saws, grinders, and slicers.
  • Inspect, reassemble, and verify that equipment is clean and ready for use, following sanitation procedures.
  • Receive, rotate, and manage meat inventory, ensuring proper temperature control and product rotation.
  • Prepare meat for display by packaging, stocking, and assisting with merchandising based on daily production needs.
  • Operate department equipment (including tenderizers and related machinery) while following safety and security guidelines.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas throughout the shift and follow all SSOPs and department standards.
  • Provide prompt and courteous member service and assist in other warehouse areas when needed.
