ABOUT THE JOB
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and general upkeep across designated areas, including specialized workspaces. This position supports daily operations through routine cleaning, minor repairs, and adherence to safety and security standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform janitorial and cleaning duties in offices, restrooms, break rooms, and production areas.
- Operate trash and cardboard compactors and manage waste removal.
- Respond promptly to spills and unexpected cleaning needs.
- Maintain facility fixtures, including changing light bulbs and cleaning windows, walls, and ceilings.
- Assist with grounds maintenance such as litter removal, leaf blowing, and snow or ice removal.
- Restock and monitor cleaning supplies and place merchandise in appropriate areas.
- Follow safety, security, and department procedures at all times.
- Assist other departments as required.
