ABOUT THE JOB
As a Loss Prevention Clerk at Costco, you will be responsible for safeguarding company property and ensuring a secure shopping and working environment. The role involves observing daily operations, identifying suspicious activity, supporting investigations, and working closely with warehouse management to reduce loss and improve safety procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor warehouse floors and perimeter areas to identify safety and security concerns.
- Observe, detect, and help prevent theft and shoplifting within the location.
- Detain and interview individuals when required, following company procedures.
- Report incidents of internal dishonesty to warehouse and regional management.
- Prepare and maintain investigation reports and related documentation.
- Preserve evidence and support internal investigations when necessary.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and provide testimony in court if required.
- Train and coach warehouse staff on loss prevention policies and procedures.
- Communicate with other Costco loss prevention teams to share information on theft trends.
