ABOUT THE JOB
As a Loss Prevention Clerk, you will be responsible for monitoring warehouse activity, identifying potential security risks, and helping prevent both internal and external theft. This role requires strong observation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established Costco procedures and applicable laws while supporting a secure and professional workplace.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Patrol the warehouse and surrounding areas to monitor safety and security concerns.
- Observe, detect, and prevent theft, including apprehending shoplifters when appropriate.
- Detain and interview individuals suspected of theft in accordance with company policies.
- Identify and report internal theft or suspicious activities to warehouse management.
- Prepare investigation reports for internal use and potential legal proceedings.
- Maintain accurate records and preserve evidence collected during investigations.
- Testify in court when required regarding theft-related cases.
- Support and educate warehouse staff on loss prevention policies and procedures.
