ABOUT THE JOB
As a Grocery Associate at Walmart, you will help maintain a well-presented grocery area by keeping products available, correctly priced, and easy to find. You’ll follow food safety and store standards while supporting day-to-day operations such as rotating stock, checking dates, and completing merchandising tasks that keep the department ready for business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Zone and maintain the grocery department so aisles are neat and products are easy to shop.
- Stock and rotate inventory, including checking for expired products.
- Ensure merchandise is correctly signed, labeled, and priced.
- Follow food handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures to meet safety standards.
- Support proper processes such as ordering, clearance, and price changes when required.
- Keep shelves full and ensure the department is ready for customers throughout the day.
- Follow Health and Safety guidelines and report concerns as needed.
- Perform downstocking and complete merchandising tasks (e.g., modulars, shelf caps, and product protection where required).
