ABOUT THE ROLE
As a General Merchandise Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining the sales floor, assisting customers, and ensuring merchandise is properly stocked, organized, and presented. You will contribute to a safe, clean, and welcoming shopping experience while supporting Walmart’s operational standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and assisting with product inquiries.
- Help customers locate merchandise and support purchase decisions.
- Maintain assigned sales floor areas through zoning and organization.
- Move feature merchandise to assigned modular locations.
- Recover merchandise from customer service and other store areas.
- Support front-end coverage when required.
- Work collaboratively with team members to maintain proper floor coverage.
- Contribute to a safe and clean work environment by following company policies and procedures.
- Complete safety sweep logs and ensure fixtures and displays are secure.
- Stock shelves, pick merchandise, downstock products, and apply product protection as required.
- Set and complete modulars, including flexible modulars and shelf caps.
COMPENSATION
The minimum hourly wage for this position starts at $16.15 per hour. Final pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
