ABOUT THE JOB
As a Food Service Assistant in the Costco food court, you’ll help prepare popular menu items and beverages while following proper food safety and sanitation standards. You will support production by stocking ingredients, operating food prep equipment, and keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean and organized. This position also involves basic cashiering and ensuring members receive prompt, courteous service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and serve food and beverages following department recipes and production standards.
- Operate basic equipment (e.g., warmers, fryers) and follow safe food handling procedures.
- Take orders, ring up sales, handle cash, and provide friendly member service.
- Assemble and present orders quickly while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Clean and sanitize work surfaces, utensils, and equipment throughout the shift.
- Maintain the self-serve and dining areas by bussing tables, sweeping, and emptying trash.
- Stock supplies and ingredients from storage areas and rotate products to support freshness.
- Support other warehouse areas as needed based on operational demand.
