ABOUT THE JOB
The Food Service Assistant plays an essential role in delivering fast, friendly service at Costco’s Food Court. You will prepare and serve hot food and beverages, operate kitchen equipment, restock supplies, and ensure the dining area remains clean and organized. This role requires strong teamwork, attention to cleanliness, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and assemble hot food items such as pizzas, hot dogs, and baked products following department procedures.
- Operate equipment including ovens, warmers, and deep fryers while following safety guidelines.
- Process transactions, handle payments, and ensure accurate cash handling.
- Restock ingredients and supplies from warehouse inventory to food preparation areas.
- Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces, utensils, machines, and dining areas.
- Maintain condiment stations and assist with bussing tables and waste removal.
- Follow all health regulations related to food storage, temperature control, and product rotation.
- Provide prompt and courteous member service at all times.
