Costco is hiring an Electronics & Majors Sales Assistant in Brampton, Ontario. In this customer-facing role, you’ll support members in the electronics and major items areas by answering questions, demonstrating products, and keeping the sales floor organized and well-stocked.
ABOUT THE JOB
As an Electronics & Majors Sales Assistant at Costco in Brampton, you will help members find the right products by explaining features, demonstrating merchandise, and supporting a smooth shopping experience. You’ll also assist with maintaining department standards by stocking, organizing displays, and ensuring products are presented accurately with the correct signage and pricing. This role suits candidates who enjoy sales support, staying up to date on technology, and working in a fast-paced retail environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide prompt and courteous member service by answering questions, demonstrating products, and explaining key features.
- Assist members with handling and loading major items into carts when needed.
- Stay informed on technology trends by reviewing product information and learning functions and specifications.
- Communicate with the Area Manager regarding merchandising, product availability, pricing, delivery, and promotions.
- Follow merchandising standards by setting up, cleaning, and maintaining product displays.
- Face and align merchandise, return stray items, and restock to maintain strong product levels.
- Check member returns and help ensure product signage and marking are accurate.
- Support merchandise moves, review lift tickets for proper placement, and help stock merchandise in assigned aisles.
- Organize and maintain secure-item lock-up, clear debris from sales and secure areas, and perform general floor upkeep (including sweeping).
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as necessary.
