ABOUT THE JOB
As a Cashier Assistant at Costco, you will support front-end operations by helping members with their purchases, ensuring items are properly packed, and keeping the checkout area clean and organized. This position requires attention to detail, physical activity, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction while working closely with cashiers and other warehouse staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet members and provide prompt, courteous service at the checkout area.
- Pack member orders efficiently into boxes or carts following packing preferences.
- Assist members with loading items and answering basic questions.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the register and front-end areas.
- Retrieve carts and flatbeds from the parking area following safety procedures.
- Run for merchandise, supplies, and other items to support cashiers and keep lines moving.
- Restock front-end supplies and assist with opening and closing duties as needed.
- Support the cashier team during promotions and peak hours.
