Costco is currently hiring a Bakery Wrapper to join its warehouse team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This role plays a key part in ensuring bakery products are properly prepared, wrapped, labeled, and displayed, helping maintain Costco’s high standards of quality and presentation while delivering excellent service to members.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Bakery Wrapper supports daily bakery operations by handling finished baked goods and preparing them for sale. This position focuses on wrapping, labeling, stocking, and monitoring product quality, while following established food safety, cleanliness, and production procedures within the bakery department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wrap, label, and package bakery products by hand or using wrapping equipment.
- Apply garnishes, icings, or glazes to baked goods according to Costco standards.
- Inspect products for quality, weight, and appearance, removing any damaged or defective items.
- Stock and rotate bakery items, monitoring freshness and pull dates.
- Move products using carts and racks within the bakery and sales areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of the wrapping and sales areas, following safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Provide courteous member service and assist with bakery-related questions as needed.
- Support other bakery and warehouse tasks when required.
