ABOUT THE JOB
The Bakery Wrapper helps keep Costco’s bakery running smoothly by packaging baked goods, preparing display items, and ensuring products are properly labeled and rotated. You’ll handle items carefully to meet quality standards, monitor dates, and maintain a clean work area. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys fast-paced work, attention to detail, and supporting a high-volume retail food department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wrap, package, and label bakery products by hand or using wrapping equipment.
- Garnish finished items, including applying icing, drizzles, or glaze according to department procedures.
- Assemble and prepare packaging materials, including pre-cut boxes for baked goods.
- Weigh and label products accurately, removing items that are underweight, damaged, or not up to standard.
- Stock and rotate bakery items, monitor pull dates, and maintain organized displays.
- Move product using racks and carts to support efficient production and merchandising.
- Maintain cleanliness in wrapping and sales areas, following health and safety guidelines.
- Provide prompt, courteous member service and direct members to product and service areas as needed.
- Assist with other bakery tasks and support other warehouse areas when required.
