ABOUT THE JOB
As a Bakery Department Manager, you will lead bakery associates and coordinate daily department processes to maintain high operational standards. You’ll manage inventory, oversee merchandising and product rotation, monitor documentation and compliance requirements, and support team development through recruitment and training. This role combines hands-on retail management with strong leadership and organizational skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee department operations, including receiving merchandise, monitoring equipment, and maintaining required documentation.
- Ensure proper stocking, rotation, and merchandising of bakery products, removing damaged or expired items.
- Lead recruitment, training, and development of bakery associates.
- Provide excellent customer service leadership by assisting customers and supporting product promotions.
- Execute inventory planning and replenishment programs to maintain in-stock levels.
- Manage claims, returns, and shrink control while ensuring department security and compliance.
- Complete and maintain required inventory and operational reports and related documentation.
