ABOUT THE JOB
The Baker position at Costco involves producing a wide range of bakery items using company formulas and industrial equipment. This hands-on role requires precision, physical stamina, and close attention to sanitation, temperature control, and production procedures to ensure top-quality baked goods for members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and bake high-volume bakery products following Costco formulas.
- Measure, assemble, and mix large quantities of ingredients.
- Operate industrial mixers and bakery equipment.
- Roll, cut, and shape dough for breads and pastries.
- Bake products in large commercial ovens and monitor baking times.
- Transfer baked goods to cooling racks at appropriate times.
- Monitor sanitation, temperatures, and pull dates.
- Follow all health, safety, and food safety regulations.
- Ensure consistency and quality of finished bakery products.
- Provide courteous member service when required.
- Assist with other bakery duties as needed.
