Costco is looking for an experienced Baker to join its bakery team in Brampton, Ontario. This role is responsible for preparing and baking high-volume bakery products while maintaining quality standards, food safety, and excellent member service in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Baker prepares a wide range of baked goods following Costco formulas and production standards. This position involves mixing large quantities of ingredients, operating industrial bakery equipment, and monitoring baking processes to ensure consistency, freshness, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and bake high-volume bakery products according to established formulas.
- Measure, combine, and adjust ingredients using industrial mixers and bakery equipment.
- Roll, cut, and shape dough for breads and pastries.
- Operate ovens and monitor baking times to ensure product quality.
- Transfer baked goods to cooling racks and prepare items for further processing.
- Maintain sanitation standards, proper temperatures, and accurate date labeling.
- Follow all food safety and workplace safety procedures.
- Provide prompt and courteous member service when required.
