ABOUT THE JOB
The General Merchandise Associate helps maintain the general merchandise department by ensuring products are properly displayed, priced, and available for customers. This position focuses on delivering excellent customer service while supporting merchandising standards and operational efficiency.
Associates contribute to a clean, safe, and organized store environment by following company procedures and collaborating with team members across departments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide friendly and professional customer service by assisting shoppers with locating products and answering inquiries.
- Zone and organize assigned sales floor areas to maintain a neat presentation.
- Stock shelves and replenish merchandise according to modular and merchandising standards.
- Ensure products are accurately priced and properly signed.
- Complete markdowns, price changes, and promotional updates as required.
- Assist with front-end support when needed.
- Follow company safety policies and maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure consistent floor coverage.
