ABOUT THE JOB
As a General Merchandise Associate at Walmart, you will help keep the general merchandise area fully stocked, organized, and ready for customers. You’ll assist shoppers in locating products, promote store services, and ensure merchandise is properly displayed and priced. This role also involves supporting front-end operations when needed and contributing to a safe and efficient retail environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide friendly and professional customer service on the salesfloor.
- Stock and zone the general merchandise department.
- Assist customers in locating products and making purchase decisions.
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-merchandised displays.
- Set and update modular layouts and shelf configurations.
- Handle product returns and recovery from customer service areas.
- Follow safety procedures and complete required safety logs.
- Communicate with team members to ensure proper floor coverage.
