ABOUT THE JOB
As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling purchases accurately and providing excellent customer service at the checkout. You will support store operations by following cash-handling procedures, promoting programs and services, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet customers in a polite and friendly manner at the checkout.
- Process purchase transactions accurately and efficiently, including proper merchandise handling.
- Deactivate merchandise according to loss prevention and security procedures.
- Promote store programs such as credit services, protection plans, and community initiatives.
- Assist customers with bagging and loading merchandise when needed.
- Follow safe work practices, including proper lifting techniques and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Maintain register security through careful cash handling and awareness of surroundings.
- Refer customer service or transaction-related issues to a supervisor or manager as required.
