ABOUT THE JOB
As a Cashier Assistant at Costco, you will work closely with the front-end team to ensure a smooth checkout experience for members. This position involves packing items, assisting members with loading purchases, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting daily warehouse operations as needed. It is a hands-on role ideal for candidates who enjoy working in a fast-paced retail environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide friendly and efficient member service at the checkout area.
- Pack and transfer merchandise into boxes or carts following member preferences.
- Assist members with loading items into carts and vehicles when required.
- Support cashiers by running items, supplies, and merchandise to keep lines moving.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the register and front-end areas.
- Retrieve carts and flatbeds, ensuring the entrance and lot areas remain organized.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including restocking and cleaning.
- Operate equipment such as cardboard balers when required.
- Assist in other warehouse areas as needed.
