ABOUT THE JOB
As a Self Checkout Attendant at Walmart, you will support customers as they complete transactions using self-checkout systems. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized area, and ensuring that self-checkout processes run efficiently while following company standards and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist customers with the use of self-checkout machines and answer questions as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized checkout area, free of debris or obstacles.
- Monitor customer activity to identify when assistance or intervention is required.
- Politely explain quality checks or system interventions when necessary, reassuring customers.
- Respond to EAS alarms and complete required documentation when applicable.
- Notify a supervisor or manager when technical issues or cash shortages occur.
- Return self-checkout equipment, such as Scan & Go scanners, to designated areas after use.
